About Our Partners

  • In January 2020, the Ladue School District selected the following companies to assist the district in refining the designs and costs for projects at Old Bonhomme Elementary School, Spoede Elementary School and Ladue Middle School. The architectural and construction services required for the improvements to be made at Conway Elementary School and Reed Elementary School are not nearly as extensive, and those services are currently being bid out by the district. Information about the company(ies) awarded those projects will be added to this page when they are finalized.

    Architectural Services

    Ittner/Perkins and Will

Ittner LogoThis team of architectural firms was selected from the twelve proposals the district received in response to its Request for Qualifications for this project. Missouri statutes for school districts require that architectural firms be selected based on qualifications only (as opposed to cost). If a compensation agreement cannot be reached, the district can then attempt to negotiate with other firms submitting proposals. However, a financial agreement has been successfully made with these firms.

Both firms specialize in architectural design for educational settings. Ittner is a local architectural firm with significant experience in educational facilities. The local knowledge and expertise of this firm is further enhanced by Perkins and Will, a nationally recognized architectural firm that specializes in educational architecture at all levels.

    Construction Management at Risk

The district will use a “Construction Management at Risk” arrangement for this project. This arrangement entails the construction management firm, as opposed to the district, being responsible (at risk) for managing subcontractors. As this project could potentially entail overlapping projects on three district campuses, the Board and administration prefer this arrangement. S. M. Wilson was the low bidder for the project and was also the construction manager for the Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) renovation.
