Prop L Ballot Language

  • When voters went to the polls on April 6, 2021, the ballot language for Proposition L read as follows:

    Shall the Board of Education of the School District of the City of Ladue (also known as the Ladue School District), St. Louis County, Missouri, borrow money in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-Six Million Dollars ($126,000,000) for the purpose of constructing, renovating, repairing, improving, furnishing and equipping school sites, buildings and facilities, including, but not limited to new construction, renovation and/or upgrading of science labs, classrooms, fine and performing arts spaces, library media centers, gymnasiums, and building operational components, including safety, security and technology infrastructure at four elementary schools and the middle school, and issue general obligation bonds for the payment thereof, resulting in an estimated increase to the debt service property tax levy of 8.0 cents ($.08) per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation? If this proposition is approved, the adjusted debt service levy of the District is estimated to increase from 78 cents ($0.78) to 86 cents ($0.86) per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of real and personal property.
