8th Grade School Supply List (2023-24)

    The following list represents the majority of supplies needed for the school year. The team teachers have planned instructional activities that will be enhanced through the purchase of the items below. Organization of school materials is one of the primary skills that students should learn while at LMS. Throughout the year, materials will need to be replenished, and teacher requests for new materials may be made. Please be sure to mark your supplies with your name as they are your responsibility.

    General Supplies (these items will be used for all classes)

    • 2 packs of 20 pencils
    • 1 pack 100 sheet college-ruled loose leaf notebook paper
    • 1 pack of dry-erase markers (turned in to office)
    • highlighters - at least 2 different colors
    • 3.5mm wired headphones
    • 2 packs of 3" x 3" post-it notes

    8th Grade Math/Algebra Supplies

    • scientific calculator (example: TI-30X IIS)
    • three-subject spiral notebook
    • one box of dry-erase Expo markers - multicolor (give to teacher)

    Accelerated Math (Dr. Shayer)

    • 1-inch binder
    • 1 pack of 4 dividers
    • graphing paper spiral notebook
    • scientific calculator (example: TI-30X IIS)
    • ruler
    • protractor
    • math compass (AAMSM2 and Adv Geo only)

    8th Grade ELA Supplies

    • No supplies are needed. All work is electronic, and books will be provided.

    8th Grade Science Supplies

    • 3 subject notebook

    8th Grade Social Studies Supplies

    • spiral notebook
    • 1 pocket folder

    8th Grade World Language Supplies

    • Varies by the teacher. Teachers will share information with their classes in the fall.

    PE

    • There is no required purchase for PE class. Students will be required to wear socks and tennis shoes for PE. Students are encouraged to wear athletic wear, but it is not required. If students do not have socks and tennis shoes, it will affect their citizenship grade for not being prepared for class, and they may not be allowed to participate in their current unit for that particular day.
