Five LHWHS students were selected to participate in the St. Louis Suburban Honor Choir.

Kairi Knight (11), Maya Mathew (10), Cooper Mortenson (11), Natalie Shellhaas (11), and Anthony Zhao (10) earned their spot in the choir following a tedious audition process; they were chosen out of more than 500 students from 40 area schools.

On Saturday, Nov. 4, the students performed with the choir at Pattonville High School after spending the day preparing with two college choir directors.

In addition, Mortenson auditioned for the All-State Choir and achieved a top 10 placement for tenors.

The Honor Choir is organized by the St. Louis Suburban MMEA (Missouri Music Educators Association).
