Kathy Blackburn is the recipient of the district's Excellence in Education Award for September 2023.
Blackburn is a Special School District Speech Language Pathologist at Ladue Middle School; she first joined LMS in 2015 and has worked for SSD since 2007.
"Kathy's impact at LMS is far-reaching beyond her small group room. The skills she helps develop for her students allow them to fully access all aspects of being a middle schooler!" said LMS Principal Dr. Angela Thompson. "Her important work and coordination of the MTSS and data review process ensure that no students go unnoticed. She is a creative solution seeker and brings a wealth of knowledge and resources to our entire community."
The Excellence in Education Award recognizes outstanding Ladue Schools teachers and faculty and is awarded to one person each year at every school.
