2023-24 Supply List

Greetings from your child’s second-grade teacher! We are eagerly looking forward to working with you and your child! In order for your child to be prepared to do a good job in second grade, we ask that the following supplies be brought to school on the first day.  Keep in mind that some of these materials will need to be replaced periodically throughout the school year. If possible, please write your child’s name or initials on their supplies.

• 24 #2 pencils (three should be sharpened and in your child’s desk at all times during the year)
• 1 spiral notebook (wide rule if possible)  
• 1 composition notebook
• one box of colored pencils (12 count)
• one box of 24 crayons (no markers, please)
• two large erasers
• four large glue sticks (replacements are needed often!)
• one pair of quality scissors
• one school box to hold pencils, crayons, glue sticks, etc.
• 5 two-pocket folders (blue, green, yellow, red & purple).  Binders such as Trapper Keepers, and extra pocket folders are discouraged due to space limitations
• One blue plastic pocket folder (Friday folder)
• 1 pair of headphones with 3.5mm headphone jack (no Bluetooth)
• a backpack would also be useful in organizing your child’s daily work to and from school
• one pack dry erase markers (Expo – 4 color, fine tip)
• 2 boxes of Kleenex
• 1 roll of paper towels
• 1 box of Ziploc bags (gallon or quart size
• 1 Clorox wipes

In order to enhance the development of organizational skills and due to space limitations, please send only the above items. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a successful and enjoyable year working with you and your child!
