    Biographical Statement

I hold a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, with an emphasis on Non-Profit Management and Leadership, with extensive research in public education and social work. Professionally, I am an Executive Director for Propel Kitchens, a local non-profit.

I have two exceptional children who are alumni of Ladue Schools. A transformational leader with over 20 years of professional experience dedicated to serving community needs. I am incredibly passionate about the needs of children, youth, and families. I am a lifelong advocate, and my work ethic is founded on values encompassing social justice and equity, which strengthened my leadership roles and volunteer involvement. I am known for my tenacity and forward-thinking ability to strategically direct various initiatives, achieve positive outcomes and can be counted on to get things done. I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

I have successfully impacted decisions to benefit all students, especially regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion. My influence has led to the increase in the diversity of staff and administrators, critical review of curriculum and instruction, and implementation of action items to address the opportunity gap that leaves many African American students trailing behind their peers. I have strategically navigated the diverse groups that make up the Ladue Schools community and building relationships while simultaneously tackling courageous conversations.

I obtained Advanced, and Master Board Member Certifications from the Missouri School Boards Association and have served on the Ladue School Board since 2017. As the current Board President, I take great pride in serving the students and families of the Ladue School District. I would like to continue the work of generating positive outcomes for all children.
